LIG Nex1 (CEO: Shin Ick-hyun) and Zenoco are stepping up exchange and collaborative efforts for business expansion in the areas of satellite communications and aviation. LIG Nex1 signed a memorandum of understanding on satellite communications and aviation with Zenoco, a company specializing in aerospace businesses including avionics, satellite ground stations, and satellite payloads at its Second Pangyo House in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do on March 26. Attendants at the signing event included leading officials from the two companies, such as Moon Byung-ho, head of LIG Nex1 C5ISR Business Division and Yoo Tae-sam, CEO of Zenoco. With the signing of the MOU, the two companies will develop specific collaborative plans to strengthen business capabilities through technological exchange and cooperation as well as joint implementation of technology development in satellite communications and aviation. LIG Nex1 (CEO: Shin Ick-hyun) and Palantir Technologies Inc., a leading AI software company in the U.S., have joined forces to advance the United Arab Emirates integrated defense system. LIG Nex1 and Palantir announced that they signed a memorandum of understanding for collaboration on the development of integrated air defense and unmanned system solutions at Palantirs Palo Alto, California office on March 24. CEO Shin Ick-hyun of LIG Nex1 and Ryan Taylor, Palantirs Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Chief Legal Officer (CL), were present at the signing ceremony. Through the MOU, the two companies intend to enhance their future battlefield RD capabilities significantly by combining LIG Nex1s technological expertise in system integration, including integrated defense systems from low to high altitudes and unmanned platforms for various missions, with Palantirs trusted data solutions. LIG Nex1 and Palantir have cooperated in developing next-generation solutions by integrating their hardware and software since 2024. Their new MOU on integrated air defense and unmanned systems capable of rapid, accurate, and effective responses across diverse scenarios is expected to a play a major role in promoting the defense capacity of target export countries, including the UAE. Visit to West Sea Protection Hall at the ROK Navy Second Fleet Command in Pyeongtaek in remembrance of sacrifices ahead of West Sea Defense Day LIG Nex1 (CEO: Shin Ick-hyun) announced on March 18 that around 70 executives and employees of the company, including new employees, visited the Republic of Korea Navy Second Fleet Command in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, for a memorial ceremony. Support for medically underserved populations for six years as part of ESG contribution efforts LIG donated KRW 70,000,000 to Soon Chun Hyang University Hospital Seoul on March 18. LIGPresident Choi Young-jun and President Lee Seong-jin of Soon Chun Hyang University Hospital Seoul were among those who attended the donation event. LIGs donations for medically underserved populations, made continuously over the past six years since 2021, now total KRW 330,000,000. This years donation is expected to cover medical expenses for underserved low-income patients. President Lee Seong-jin of Soon Chun Hyang University Hospital Seoul said, We are grateful for the warm interest and support for medically underserved populations. We will do our best to deliver the donation to those in need so that they can recover their health. The winners are offered substantial benefits, including deferral of designation as a non-compliant company, exemption from annual training requirements, and waiver of the listing fee for the following five years. Long-standing leadership in guided weapons reaffirmed: Full suite of integrated air defense solutions across land, sea, and air Strengthened air defense capabilities and weapon system development expertise secured based on performance history, experience, and know-how accumulated over the years LIG Nex1 (CEO: Shin Ick-hyun) held a completion ceremony for the assembly and inspection facility of the Surface-to-Air Missile-II. The Surface-to-Air Missile-II project aims to develop an air defense guided missile for installation on Koreas next-generation destroyer (KDDX), designed to counter threats from enemy aircraft or cruise missiles and guarantee the survivability of friendly naval vessels. More than 100 individuals attended the ceremony held at LIG Nex1s Gumi House on March 4, including LIG Nex1 CEO Shin Ick-hyun, officials from the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, the ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff, the ROK Navy, the Agency for Defense Development, the Defense Agency for Technology and Quality, the Defense Rapid Acquisition Technology Research Institute, and the Korea Research Institute for Defense Technology Planning and Advancement, as well as representatives from local government institutions, including Gyeongsangbuk-do Government, Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council, Gumi City Government, and Gumi City Council. The completion ceremony was held approximately two years after LIG Nex1 signed the contract for the development of the Surface-to-Air Missile-II system with the Defense Acquisition Program Administration in 2024. With the establishment of an exclusive facility optimized for state-of-the-art weapon system development, the company intends to consolidate RD capabilities accumulated up to the present and speed up the development and completion of a high-quality K-defense missile to serve as the vanguard of Korean naval vessel defense by 2030. The project is especially meaningful because it is the first business-led air defense missile system development program in the defense industry. When the project is successfully completed, LIG Nex1 is expected to have further upgraded its missile RD capabilities based on newly acquired technological expertise as well as more firmly establishing its reputation as a leader in guided missiles. At the same time, the project goal of 90 percent localization is likely to contribute to the promotion of national interests in export and shared prosperity with other companies taking part in the project. The company participated in the World Defense Show 2026, one of the largest international defense exhibitions in the Middle East, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for five days from February 8. Land: Integrated solutions for increased operational efficiency and survivability Ground-launched guided weapons, such as the Raybolt anti-tank guided missile, the L-Sword unmanned surface vehicle capable of countering drone attacks, and Vision 60 from Ghost Robotics, which will lead manned-unmanned integrated solutions across both defense and civilian sectors were exhibited. LIG Nex1 presented a vision for future ground forces that enables effective responses to drone and tank attacks while significantly improving troop survivability and operational efficiency. 4. Sea: An integrated maritime unmanned and naval vessel system In the maritime domain, an integrated mast installed on surface ships, a combat management system (CMS), a close-in weapon system (CIWS-II), the 2.75inch Poniard guided rocket, the SAAM anti-ship missile defense missile, an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) for mine detection, and the Haegeom-III unmanned surface vessel were showcased, demonstrating unmanned surveillance and strike capabilities on the surface of the sea and underwater. LIG Nex1 also introduced solutions for all domains of the battlefield along with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), a key platform company in Korea, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, and EOST, a leading electro-optics company.
