LIG’s donations for medically underserved populations, made continuously over the past six years since 2021, now total KRW 330,000,000. This year’s donation is expected to cover medical expenses for underserved low-income patients.
President Lee Seong-jin of Soon Chun Hyang University Hospital Seoul said, “We are grateful for the warm interest and support for medically underserved populations. We will do our best to deliver the donation to those in need so that they can recover their health.” President Choi of LIG commented, “We will maintain our efforts to help medically underserved people in the future.”
Meanwhile, LIG is engaged in a variety of social contribution activities in addition to supporting medically underserved populations, such as providing support for low-income veterans and patriots, supporting the Korea Football Association for the Disabled, and supporting young adults preparing for independence. The group is also leading in ESG management by developing diversified social contribution programs with its affiliate companies including LIG Nex1, Innowireless, LIG System, and LIG HUSECO, reflecting the business characteristics of each company.
