LIG Defense&Aerospace (LIG D&A) participated in the 2026 Yi Sun-sin Defense Exhibition and expressed a commitment to leading the implementation of AI-based manned-unmanned integrated combat systems being pursued by the Republic of Korea Navy.
LIG D&A attended the 2026 Yi Sun-sin Defense Exhibition (YIDEX 2026) at the Korea Naval Academy in Jinhae, Gyeongsangnam-do from April 1 to 3 to present a comprehensive solution for the implementation of AI-based manned-unmanned integrated combat systems that the Korean Navy seeks.
- Unmanned surface vessel lineup – the key driver of the ‘Navy Sea GHOST’ – unveiled
LIG D&A has put the unmanned system integrating autonomous driving technology and advanced weapons at the forefront to accelerate the Navy Sea GHOST project pursued by the Korean Navy. The company is exhibiting unmanned surface vessels (USVs), including a reconnaissance USV, the first of its kind to be deployed by the Navy; a combat USV Sea Sword-X equipped with a 20mm RCWS and the 2.75inch Poniard guided rocke; and USVs capable of a variety of missions such as suicide USV, shipborne USV, and mine warfare USV.

LIG D&A also introduced precision strike and defense systems for maximizing the combat effectiveness of the Navy and exhibited key weapons that protect ships and support precision strikes including the 2.75inch Poniard guided rocket slated for export to the U.S.; the Surface-to-Air Missile II being developed to replace the U.S.-manufactured SM-2; the 130mm Biryong Guided Rocket II; and CIWS-II. Additional exhibits included the Submarine Electronic Warfare System, being developed locally for installation on KSS-III Batch-II, as well as the Shipborne Electronic Warfare System-II with a maximized jamming range and effectiveness based on doubled output.
