  • Shared growth initiatives formalized to strengthen the defense industrial ecosystem and accelerate global market expansion

LIG Defense & Aerospace (LIG D&A) has established Shared Growth Promotion Office, an organization dedicated to cooperation for shared growth. With the launch of the new organization, the company aims to strengthen the defense supply chain ecosystem through shared growth with its partner companies and accelerate global expansion.

On June 9, LIG D&A officially announced the launch of the new organization during its inaugural Shared Growth Partnership Day event held in Jeju. The event was attended by Shin Ik-hyun, President and CEO of LIG D&A, and Cha Sang-hoon, Chief of the Corporate Support Center, alongside the CEOs of major member companies of A1 Society, an association of LIG D&A’s premier suppliers.

During the event, LIG D&A shared its global growth vision and shared growth support policies with the A1 Society, emphasizing that it views its suppliers not merely as vendors but as key strategic partners for long-term shared growth. Recognizing that sustainable supply chain competitiveness directly translates into export competitiveness, attendees agreed that the trust-based partnership built between LIG D&A and its suppliers has become a key driver of sustainable growth.

The financial package committed or already implemented by LIG D&A to foster win-win partnerships this year totals approximately KRW 200 billion. The support programs include the KRW 160 billion Shared Growth Trade Finance program, offering preferential rates up to 2.5 percentage points lower than standard unsecured loan rates; the KRW 30 billion Shared Growth Deposit Fund to help suppliers access low-interest financing; and the KRW 3 billion Export Project Performance Sharing Program to share profits generated from export projects with participating suppliers.

The spirit of innovation demonstrated by the CEOs of our partner companies here today on the Shared Growth Partnership Day is a driving force behind the competitiveness and continued growth of Korea's defense industry, said LIG D&A CEO Shin Ik-hyun, adding LIG D&A will continue to walk hand in hand with our partners as we build and expand a healthy, resilient defense ecosystem.”
