LIG D&A donates KRW 100 Million to the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs

LIG Defense & Aerospace (LIG D&A) marked its 50th anniversary with a meaningful donation aimed at enhancing the welfare of patriots and veterans who have served the nation.
On Saturday, June 20, LIG D&A presented a donation of KRW 100 million to the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs during the Turtle Marathon held at the Olympic Park Picnic Area in Seoul. The ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both organizations, including Shin Ik-hyun, President and CEO of LIG D&A, and Yuk Hyeon-su Director General of the Veterans Medical Care and Welfare Bureau at the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs. The donated funds will be used to provide medical assistance and improve living conditions for patriots, veterans, and their families.
Emphasizing that “the freedom and peace we enjoy today were made possible by the noble sacrifice and dedication of our veterans,” CEO Shin Ik-hyun said, “We will continue working to raise public awareness and foster a culture that respects and honors their service.”
The Turtle Marathon brought together LIG D&A executives, employees, and their families to reflect on the noble sacrifice and service of patriots and veterans and to put the values of gratitude and giving into practice.
As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility as a leading defense company, LIG D&A continues to organize a wide range of initiatives honoring patriots and veterans. These include Memorial Hike, during which employees walk with their families and friends in remembrance of Korea’s fallen heroes and their spirit of sacrifice; the provision of essential supplies to veterans during periods of extreme summer heat; commemorative activities for West Sea Defense Day; and Parents’ Day programs honoring the parents of fallen service members.
